Abstract

The low implementation of the principle of Infant and Child Feeding (PMBA) (13.04%) resulted in the prevalence of stunting in children under five reaching 12.01 percent at the Gemaharjo Health Center. Gemaharjo Health Center is the first Puskesmas in Indonesia to have the "GEPUG CENTING ASOY" program which stands for Gemaharjo Health Center Education Movement Prevent Stunting. PMBA fans/cards, a social gathering for cooking together, mothers and cadres in the village determine the nutritional value of toddler food independently and hold a science degree on the wall (GELINDING). This activity aims to reduce stunting rates in the working area of the Gemaharjo Health Center. Methods: This research was experimental with One Way Anova (p=0.02, p=0.01, and p=0.01). Results: 9 months of research on the application of PMBA principles (27.54% to 87%), consumption levels (28.3% to 78.8%), and nutritional status of TB/U (12.01% to 10.5%) with a target of 92 stunting toddlers. Conclusion: The innovation program "GEPUG CENTING ASOY" can reduce stunting rates in toddlers at the Gemaharjo Health Center.
