Abstract

Flashcards contain teaching media in the form of pictures, picture descriptions, and questions according to the material presented, and contain learning elements as the main element and games as entertainment elements so that they can improve adolescent learning outcomes. Pictures can lead to diverse youth creativity in discussing it. The purpose of this study was to create a nutrition education media instrument in the form of vegetable and fruit flashcards through a feasibility test. The research method is research and development or Research and Development (R&D) to produce certain products. The products produced in this study are vegetable and fruit flashcards as a medium for nutrition education. Feasibility trials involve material experts and target groups. The trial in the target group involved 30 junior high school youths in Pangkalpinang City with an age range of 13 -15 years taken by purposive sampling, through pre-experiments on knowledge and attitudes with a pre-post test design and statistical tests using an independent t-test with 95 percent confidence degree. The results of the study obtained the mean score of the material expert's assessment of 3.88 and the results of the statistical test p-value of knowledge = 0.001 and p-value of attitude = 0.019. The conclusion is that vegetable and fruit flashcards are feasible to use. Recommendations after the research feasibility test have been carried out can be continued by looking at the effectiveness of using vegetable and fruit flashcards.
