STR is written evidence given by the Council of each health worker to registered health workers. Based on Law Number 36 of 2014 concerning Health Workers, article 44 states in paragraph 1 that every health worker who practices professionalism is required to have an STR. Every health worker who intentionally carries out their professional practice without having an STR as referred to in Article 44 paragraph (1) shall be subject to a maximum fine of Rp. 100,000,000.- (One Hundred Million Rupiah). Currently the Council for each Health worker has been established by Presidential Decree 2022, so that with the support of the KTKI Secretariat which provides technical and administrative support to all elements within the KTKI environment and one of its functions in point 2 is to carry out facilitation in the field of Health worker registration. Certification is an acknowledgement of the competence of Health Workers to be able to practice their profession throughout Indonesia after passing the Competency Test. In order to have a Health Worker's STR, it is required to have a diploma and competency certificate. STR is written evidence of Health Workers who have registered.
